Welcome to Smilebar, Boston’s Top Invisalign Orthodontist.
Since 2018, we’ve been the top-ranked VIP Diamond+ Invisalign Provider.

The top one percent of Invisalign providers in North America.
Smilebar isn't a chain, a kit, or a side service inside a general dental practice. It is a boutique built around one thing: moving teeth, beautifully, by the orthodontic specialists who do it best.
Why patients choose Smilebar.
Orthodontists, not general dentists.
Every Smilebar plan is mapped and supervised by a licensed orthodontic specialist with thousands of completed Invisalign cases. Two to three additional years of training in tooth movement and facial structure matter more than any device.
3D smile preview, day one.
Walk in for a consult, leave with a precise digital simulation of your future smile and a realistic timeline. No guesswork, no anxiety.
A studio designed for adults.
A meticulously crafted space in Boston's South End. No cartoon posters, no fluorescent lights, just calm, considered design and competent care.
Fewer visits, faster results.
Remote monitoring, accelerated protocols, and virtual progress checks built around your calendar, not the other way around.
One price, quietly stated.
Treatment fees are quoted upfront after your 3D preview. HSA / FSA eligible, most PPO plans accepted, monthly options without interest.

Clear aligners, carefully calibrated.
Every plan is custom-mapped by a Diamond+ orthodontist using iTero® 3D imaging, then refined throughout treatment with virtual check-ins so you can show up less and finish sooner.
Four unhurried steps to the smile you've been picturing.

- 01
Book your 15-minute VIP consult.
Complimentary, in our Boston studio or virtually. We listen first, then look. No high-pressure sales, no surprise treatment plan.
- 02
Preview your future smile.
An iTero® 3D scan generates a precise simulation of your finished smile, alongside a clear treatment plan and timeline. You see it before you commit.
- 03
Wear, refine, quietly progress.
Custom aligners arrive in two weeks. Virtual check-ins via the Invisalign app keep you on track, most patients only come back in person every 8–12 weeks.
- 04
Smile. Keep smiling.
Treatment ends with custom retainers, complimentary in-office whitening, and our lifetime smile-check, annual reviews to make sure nothing shifts back.
A studio that feels nothing like a clinic.
Designed in collaboration with a Boston-based interior studio, warm wood, soft light, considered objects. The kind of place you actually want to come back to.

Specialists who treat you, not your case file.
You'll see the same doctor at every visit. We staff lightly on purpose, fewer patients per day, more attention per appointment, no rotating chairs.
A few things worth knowing.

How is Smilebar different from a mail-in aligner kit?
Every Smilebar plan is designed and supervised by a licensed orthodontic specialist, not an algorithm. You're seen in person, scanned in 3D, and your bite, gum health, and bone structure are evaluated by a doctor with thousands of completed cases. Mail-in kits are a different product entirely.
Do you take insurance, HSA, and FSA?
Yes, we are in-network with most major PPO plans and accept HSA / FSA accounts directly. Our coordinators verify benefits before your first visit so the number you hear is the number you pay.
How long does treatment actually take?
For most adults seeking refinement, treatment runs 3–9 months. Comprehensive cases run 12–18 months. Your 3D preview will give you a precise estimate before you commit.
Do I have to come in often?
No. With Invisalign Virtual Care and remote monitoring, most patients come in only every 8–12 weeks. The rest of your check-ins happen from your phone.
What if I already had braces as a teen?
You're not alone, relapse is common. We treat dozens of "round two" cases every month and can usually correct shifting in 3–6 months with Invisalign Express.
Reviewed. Rated. Trusted.
When I say this was the best orthodontic treatment I’ve had in my life, i genuinely mean it! I just finished my 48 weeks of Invisalign & the results speak for themselves! I had traditional braces before, but the results weren’t even close. Dr. N & his team are amazing; the attention to detail, the care for patients, ensuring that patients are provided with clarity & understanding, and even the accommodations. They are truly the best! 10/10 would recommend!

Invisalign in Boston: common questions
How much does Invisalign cost in Boston?
Invisalign in Boston generally runs from about $4,000 to $8,000. The figure depends on how much movement your case needs and how long treatment runs. We quote a firm number at your free consultation rather than a range, and we offer financing so it can be paid monthly.
Is $3,000 a good price for Invisalign?
For a straightforward case with limited movement, $3,000 is a fair price. For a more complex case it usually signals a shortened treatment plan or a limited number of trays, so it is worth asking exactly what is included and what happens if you need refinements at the end.
Do you offer a free Invisalign consultation?
Yes. The first consultation is free and includes a scan, so you see your projected result before committing to anything. There is no obligation to book treatment.
Do you do braces as well as Invisalign?
No. Smilebar is an Invisalign-only boutique, which is precisely why we have held VIP Diamond+ status since 2018 and sit in the top 1% of providers nationally. If your case genuinely needs fixed braces, we will say so at your consultation and refer you on.
Does insurance or MassHealth cover Invisalign?
Many dental plans treat Invisalign the same as braces and cover part of the cost under an orthodontic benefit. HSA and FSA funds can also be used. MassHealth coverage is limited and depends on medical necessity and age, so it is worth checking your specific plan with us.
What does VIP Diamond+ provider mean?
It is Invisalign's top provider tier, based on the number of cases treated each year. It places a practice in roughly the top 1% nationally. Smilebar has held it every year since 2018, which is eight consecutive years.
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Most adult cases run 6 to 18 months, with simpler cases finishing sooner. Wearing your aligners 20 to 22 hours a day is the single biggest factor in staying on schedule. Remote monitoring means fewer in-person visits along the way.
